No day but today.
I’ll let you in on a widely known secret.
I hate New Years Eve.
DREAD it, in fact.
So much pressure, so much pomp, so disappointingly anti-climactic.
I can appreciate the symbolism and the idea of a fresh start but I also feel like ‘new beginnings’ should begin any day of the year.
I don’t want to usher in New Years with revelry and an attitude of reflection and positivity. I want to usher in every day with revelry, reflection and positivity.
Life is so much more fun when you don’t need ‘a special occasion’ to do something extraordinary.
Years, months, weeks, days–only measurements of time. It’s what we do with the time we have that matters. It’s the only thing that counts.
But if you’re keeping score, the past 12 months have been positively magical. And I’m sure New Years Eve, like any other day, will hold its share of whimsy and potential.
My past 365 days have been filled with:
Macchu Picchu Modeling
And Street Art

And seats in the sky.

And aerial views.

And feisty girls growing up fearless.

Coffee while carefully plotting courses.

Hikes in the city.

And tight-rope walking the wilderness.

Good music, good messages.

A purple, whirling dervish.

Some Floating.

Some celebration.

And a face only this mama could love.

With Llama Guest Appearances.
And artisan-popsicle-on-hot-day fun.
Happy New Years, you crazy kids!
Be safe as you wander into this wander-full new year.
